Lathe Tools

Hands up who has a good knowledge of engineering tools or lathe tools for example. I for one sure as anything don’t. But I am on a fast learning curve.

You would think that it might be because i have been renovating my house, but to do that i did not need any diamond tools or micrometers or anything like that were necessary there.

Machine Tools

Engineering tools are more like machining tools. Big heavy things or small accurate things usually. Like a boring head set, or a collet chuck set. Sounds all a bit unusual. I understand. Not many people know what these things are. You probably need to be an engineer.

So next time someone asks for the vernier calipers, don’t accidentally pass them the tungsten carbide inserts, if you know what i mean.
